Born to parents who were part of the film industry, television producer Bruce Paltrow and Tony Award-winning actress Blythe Danner, one would assume actress Gwyneth Paltrow was given plenty on a plate, but the truth is that she has worked hard in order to reach for the stars and become a renowned and much-loved Hollywood star.
From Jefferson in Paris (1995) and Shakespeare in Love (1998), to The Avengers (2012), Mortdecai (2015), and the Netflix’s farcical series The Politician (2019) among the rest, Palthrow has spend her entire life under the spotlight, something that can’t be said of her children, daughter Apple and son Moses, whom she shares with ex-husband Chris Martin.
Paltrow is someone who rarely shares details of her private life, but this time she made a post about her son Moses because she has a lot to be proud of.
Namely, Moses celebrated his 18th birthday and the actress was more than happy to express her love for him.
Sharing a photo of him posing in a navy blue t-shirt and looking straight into the camera, Paltrow captioned her post: “Happy 18th birthday to you, my son. I am so proud of who you are. I love your sensitivity and brilliance and quiet humor.”
She went on, “I admire how deep you go into areas that interest you, becoming an expert in synths from the 80’s and the French new wave. I love how much you love the people you love, but also how internal you are.
Paltrow concluded her heartwarming post writing: “There is such a magnificent world of ideas and harmonies inside that beautiful head of yours. I am unbelievably proud of the person you are today, as you cross over the threshold into adulthood. I love you more than words can say, @mosesmartin you absolutely kill me. ❤️Mama.”
Her fans and followers were quick to congratulate Moses and share their birthday wishes, but one thing that caught the attention of many was his resemblance to his father.
“He looks more like Chris than Chris does,” one person commented. “Chris Martin in a nutshell,” someone else added. “He totally looks like his Dad,” a third wrote.
Honestly, the resemblance truly is uncanny.
Earlier this year, Palthrow spoke to The Sunday Times, and opened up about her feelings regarding Moses and her husband’s son Brody heading to college in the fall.
“It’ll be interesting to see how the morning routine changes with no kids in the house,” the actress said. “On the one hand, incredible sadness. A deep sense of impending grief. On the other hand, this is exactly what should be happening.”
She continued saying that parents want to see their children as young adults who are resilient, cope and make connections, and leaving their home is how they achieve that.
“It’s like the guiding force. It’s what I return to. I observe a lot of my friends who’ve had kids who’ve gone off to college. Your kid…it changes. And you know, they come home a lot and all that stuff, but it’s not quite the same as living under the same roof all the days of the year. So I’m just trying to be open to what that means,” she said, as per People.
